Documents for all ARRT disciplines are updated every five years. ARRT uses survey results to make changes. This spring, ARRT will email Sonography, Vascular Sonography, and MRI Practice Analysis surveys to sonographers and MRI technologists who are working in these areas. ARRT and the practice analysis committees need to know what tasks and procedures are currently being done before any changes can be made. This is how we keep our exams and clinical requirements up to date.
ARRT works with a committee of R.T.s working in a discipline to create the survey. They analyze the survey data to make updates to ARRT's Task Inventory, Exam Content Specifications, SSA Content Specifications, and Clinical Requirements. We need early- and mid-career R.T.s, as well as seasoned technologists and educators, to help us with each practice analysis project.
