Volunteer Qualifications
Most of our qualification documents are required for those that have been selected to participate on a committee or as an Item Writer; and some are required for all volunteers. More information is provided below:
Universal Committee Contract:
This contract is required for everyone who participates on a volunteer committee. We want to make sure that we protect both you and ARRT, and a contract does that. For example, many of our committees will be accessing confidential information, including but not limited to, test items. Our committee members agree not to divulge confidential information in any way. We agree to keep records of your participation confidential.
Disclosure Statement:
All committee members and item writers are required to complete the Conflict-of-Interest Disclosure Statement. This lets us know if you have any potential conflicts of interest. Having a conflict of interest may or may not prevent you from participating on the committee. In some cases, it means that we need to help you provide the correct language in your practice using a disclaimer statement. If you participate as part of a policy making body for another organization such as ACR, ASRT, SNMMI, an accreditation review committee, or participate in developing or delivery of examination review courses, serving on one of our committees will not be possible until your commitment to those organizations has ended. This contract needs to be renewed every year, and you will receive an email to renew.
Confidential Documents:
This qualification includes three documents that need to be completed - Travel Insurance Beneficiary Form, W9, and Direct Deposit Authorization. Your privacy is important to us and we want to ensure that your confidential information doesn't land in the wrong hands. For that reason, only the ARRT Accounting Department will have access to this information. We will provide a secure way for you to upload these outside of the Volunteer Portal.
More information on these three documents is provided below:
Travel Insurance Beneficiary Form:
When traveling for committee purposes, whether it is driving to pick up or drop off an ARRT laptop, or traveling to and from ARRT in St. Paul, Minnesota, we provide, at no cost to you, travel insurance. This only needs to be renewed if your personal information changes.
You may OPT OUT of this benefit by signing and dating the second page of the form.
W9:
We require a W9 if we you received an honorarium or if you receive payments as an item writer. These are financial transactions between you and ARRT that we are required, by the IRS, to report. This only needs to be renewed if your personal information changes.
Direct Deposit:
Direct deposit is required for expense report reimbursement and honorarium payments. This only needs to be renewed if your personal information changes.
Guidelines for Virtual Committee Meetings and ARRT Laptop Use:
Committee members serving on an Exam, Standard Setting, Practice Analysis, or Item Writer Workshop meeting held virtually are required to agree to specific guidelines to protect the confidential information and member privacy during the meetings. The agreement outlines the conditions under which we allow virtual participation. The agreement needs to be renewed every year, and you will receive an email to renew.
AI Acceptable Use Policy
ARRT is committed to the ethical use of all artificial intelligence (AI) products. Although AI can be used in many positive ways, we want to make sure that you are aware of what is acceptable and what is prohibited during your term as a volunteer. Therefore, we ask you to review our policy regarding AI use and agree to the terms listed.
Other Qualifications
The qualifications tab lists other qualification that are important for your review.
These include:
Resume Qualification - our accreditor, NCCA, requires that we have a resume on file for all volunteers participating on committees.
ARRT Privacy Policy - all volunteers are required to review the privacy policy upon creating an account. This ensure that our volunteers are aware of how we will use their information.
