How Volunteers Help Achieve the ARRT Mission
We are driven by our mission: to promote high standards of patient care by recognizing qualified individuals in medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy.
But how do we achieve this? With your help!
Volunteers are certified and registered technologists, including direct patient care providers, educators, industry representatives, and administrators. They are also radiologists and physicists. These subject matter experts contribute in different ways:
- Item Writers: write test questions (i.e., items) that appear on credentialing exams and the Structured Self-Assessment (associated with the Continuing Qualifications Requirement)
- Exam Committee: Review items for accuracy and relevancy that may appear on an exam or Structured Self-Assessment
- Standard Setting Committee: Recommend the minimum score required to pass an exam
- Practice Analysis Committee: Participate in determining exam content
Very important decisions are made by volunteers about exam development!
If you'd like to actively participate in achieving the mission, please visit our Volunteer Portal to fill out your demographic information and upload a resume or BioData sheet.
We are looking for entry level new technologists too!
