Registered Radiologist Assistant (R.R.A.) item writers
For those that may not be aware, the R.R.A. examination currently has an essay section based on a series of case studies. The essay items in this section will be replaced by selected response items starting in January 2023. While you are likely familiar with selected response formats from other exams (e.g., multiple choice, multi-select, ordered list), it is a new and exciting challenge to write these items in a way that fits with other items in the context of an overall case.
Our item writers will also need to be vigilant and maintain HIPAA compliance throughout the process.
Our R.R.A. item writers attended the R.R.A. Case Study Exam Committee meeting to learn about these case study selected response items. They learned how these cases are written, learned how to write items associated with the case, participated in an editing process, and received feedback on what the exam committee is looking for.
We are excited to bring this new opportunity to our R.R.A. item writers and we are looking forward to seeing what they create.
