This is an imaging profession. Images are important!
Having images helps illustrate the idea/problem and helps clarify what the item is asking. Committee members love these items, they are often selected over other items.
Here are some examples of the types of images that can be submitted:
- image captured with your facility's imaging equipment
- photo of equipment taken by you
- photo of a volunteer (e.g, coworker) demonstrating positioning
- drawing you have created for an item
You are responsible to know:
- your facility's policies on sharing images (be sure they are followed)
- that book or internet photos are NOT allowed
- that images from ACTIVE teaching or presentation files are NOT allowed
Submitted imaged cannot be used for anything else; once submitted, they are considered property of ARRT.
To submit your images, you should:
- remove all identifying information-- hospital name, patient medical record number, and date obtained
- include on the image (if applicable) information such as mA, right or left, image markers, or settings used
- indicate anatomy (if applicable)-- submit one image with the arrow or circle, and one without the arrow or circle
- submit at the same time as submitting the item-- add image by selecting the Browse button
