Belinda Mouradian is an item writer and a Nuclear Medicine Technology  Exam Committee member.

What first prompted you to volunteer with the ARRT?

"I was prompted to volunteer with the ARRT because I wanted to make sure I stay involved in my field. I began working in the hospital setting, then advanced into teaching and later became an administrator. Although I love my current position and appreciate the fact, I was able to gradually progress in my career, I wanted to make sure I stay current in the field. Therefore, volunteering with the ARRT helps ensure this happens."

When did you start volunteering with ARRT?
"I started volunteering with ARRT in 2019."

What type of volunteering have you done with ARRT?
I began as an item reviewer and recently added on volunteering as an item writer as well.

What did you enjoy the most about being a volunteer with ARRT?
"I enjoy knowing that I make an impact by giving back to my field through the volunteer work I do with the ARRT. I recognize the importance the ARRT's examinations have on our field and I value how my position as a volunteer allows me the opportunity to provide feedback which positions ARRT to better improve their examinations so we continue to produce the best technologists in the nation."

If you could give advice to someone who is interested in volunteering with ARRT what would that be?

"Advice that I would give someone who is interested in volunteering with ARRT would be to just do it! There is tremendous value with having every technologist become more involved in our community and provide their unique subset of expertise whether it is with their background in clinical, education or other areas which will add perspective and knowledge to keeping our small community viable."

What do you like to do when you are not working or volunteering with ARRT?

"I love going to the beach, kayaking, and snorkeling. I also enjoy building Legos and have a newfound appreciation for the fact that Legos are making a comeback!"

NMT EDC, Roxanne Koenen, says, "Belinda is a valuable asset to the exam committee. She gives excellent suggestions at our meetings. I also appreciate the items (questions) she has written for the exam".
