As most of you know, National Radiologic Technology Week® this year is November 6-12, 2022. This is the week that commemorates the discovery of the x ray by Wilhelm Roentgen on November 8, 1895. It is a week to not only recognize the vital work of medical imaging, interventional procedures, and radiation therapy technologists but an opportunity for public education.
This year's theme is "Aiming to Heal". The ASRT website has a list of facilities and individuals with some of the fun ways to celebrate and to educate. We encourage all R.T.s to consider ways to recognize this special week.
It is also the 100th anniversary of Sr. Merrigan taking the first registry examination. Our profession has grown and changed so much since that first examination.
