Prior to attending the upcoming Item Writer Workshop, each item writer has completed four self-study modules that take approximately an hour to complete. The advanced training at the workshop will cover topics including grammar, formatting, appropriate referencing, developing a good test item, and how to add images.
During the meeting, we will break off into small groups to help our writers brainstorm quality test items and work on those items they are currently writing. This is very important because these items are reviewed by our exam committees and may become part of a certification exam.
