We love receiving new images for our assessments and other purposes at American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Please be aware we are adding a new agreement policy to our volunteer contract for submitting images to ARRT; this only applies to active committee members and item writers.

While the wording is subject to change, below is a summary of the image submission portion of our Universal Volunteer Contract:

1.       You ensure that you have the authority and permission from your organization to provide ARRT with images.

2.       ARRT may use any image you submit for the following:

a.       certification exam creation

b.      administration

c.       improvement

d.      any other purposes consistent with ARRT's mission and vision

3.       You will follow the federal HIPAA privacy rule and not include any personally identifiable data or Protected Health Information on image(s) you submit to ARRT.

4.       If personally identifiable data elements unintentionally remain on any image you submit to ARRT, then ARRT will either return the image to you or redact any personally identifiable data elements from the image prior to use.

5.       You assign all rights, title, and interest in and to the image to ARRT for its exclusive use and ownership.

6.       Once assigned, the image cannot be used for any other purpose (e.g., teaching) by any other party without ARRT's prior written permission.

7.       You represent that the image does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
