What first prompted you to volunteer with ARRT?

What first prompted me to volunteer with the ARRT was that I wanted to give back to the profession that I have been a part of for 20 years. I felt that it was a perfect way to invest my time and be part of such an important process.

When did you start volunteering with ARRT?

I started volunteering in 2023.

What type of volunteering have you done with ARRT?

So far, I have been a member of the Vascular Interventional Exam Committee. I hope to be a part of more in the future.

What do you enjoy the most about being a volunteer with ARRT?

I truly enjoy being part of the ARRT process. Having the ability to give insight into something as important as the Vascular Interventional exam is something I have greatly enjoyed.

If you could give advice to someone who is interested in volunteering with ARRT, what would that be?

My advice to someone interested in volunteering is to go for it. Volunteering allows you to see the process from the inside, and it allows you to make a difference in the profession. The imaging profession is growing rapidly, and it needs the insight and knowledge of the professionals that work in it every day. It is a very rewarding experience.

What do you like to do when you are not working or volunteering with ARRT?

Recently, I have been enrolled in the Radiologist Assistant program at Weber State University. This has kept me busy for the last year and a half. The rest of the time I try to spend with my family as much as possible.

Jennifer Edwards, the Assessment Development Coordinator for Vascular Interventional Radiology, says: "Roberto is a great asset to the Vascular Interventional Radiography exam committee. Despite having over two decades of experience in IR, he engages and collaborates well with less experienced technologists on the committee, respecting the diverse experiences all committee members bring to our meetings. I have enjoyed working with him and look forward to his continued participation on ARRT committees in the future."
