The ARRT Board of Trustees has approved the content specifications for Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine Technology, and Radiography. The go-live dates are February 1, 2027, for Radiation Therapy and Nuclear Medicine Technology, and March 1, 2027, for Radiography. These specifications will remain in effect for five years, with the possibility of interim updates if significant changes occur in the field.
Candidates have 24 months from the date of their first documented procedure to complete their clinical competency requirements. Those who began documenting under the current requirements may finish under those same requirements. The content specifications outline exam topics, question distribution, and the required knowledge for candidates preparing for the examination.
